E-mails are currently circulating suggesting that the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) is sending fine notices for traffic violations. This is a scam. Important to know: the KBA does not send out fine notices for traffic violations, it is not responsible for punishing traffic violations. <\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Every fine procedure would also be preceded by a hearing in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act (VwVfG) by the competent authorities (road traffic authorities, etc.), which gives those involved in a procedure the opportunity to comment on the incident in question. The KBA would like to point out that these e-mails in circulation do not originate from the KBA or any other official body. <\/p>\n

Under no circumstances should payments be made.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do not open the link it contains. It cannot be ruled out that it contains malware. The e-mails with the sender address with the country code @RU<\/b> do not have a file number. <\/p>\n
