Reduce energy costs

Clean air thanks to sustainable SEHON painting systems

SEHON innovations at the Automechanika 2022

At this year’s Automechanika, SEHON presented a whole range of new products and innovations relating to energy, quality, effectiveness and efficiency in body and paint stores.

Reduce energy costs with SEHON

For more than 20 years, the German paint booth manufacturer has been committed to sustainability, energy saving and CO₂ reduction in paint shops, dryers and workstations in body shops and paint stores.
At that time, SE-ÖCOPLUS was invented as the first intelligent energy-saving system for paint booths.
Since then, the symbiosis of high-tech and green technology has been further advanced.
Today, SEHON offers a wide range of options for drastically reducing energy costs.
Originally, the focus was exclusively on paint booths and dryers in order to reduce energy consumption in plant technology.
According to Tiemo Sehon (CEO), energy consumption has been reduced by up to 80% over the past 10 years compared to similar systems with no or few energy-saving modules.

Today, the company goes one step further and provides modern heat and power concepts for the entire body and paint store.
Tailored to the respective operation, renewable energy sources and CHP technology are used, for example.
Ultimately, the aim is to achieve a perfect energy mix, also in order to reduce dependence on a single energy source.

Tiemo Sehon comments: “We have a large number of references that save 60%, 80% and more energy, depending on the budget, technical requirements and individual wishes. Some achieve energy self-sufficiency, i.e. they can sell on the surplus energy generated in the building and feed it back into the power grid. One of our current customers uses SEHON technology to produce 100% of its own electricity and 75% of its own thermal energy. This also saves around 380 tons of CO₂ in this company.”

As most bodyshops and paint stores work with natural gas, it is virtually impossible to switch away from gas dependency in the short term.
Depending on the type of system, however, further energy-saving potential can also be exploited in existing paint booths.
Due to the highly individual nature of each individual paint store and its system technology, SEHON must get an idea of the actual situation on site.
The booth manufacturer can then develop short-term, medium-term and long-term energy concepts for the respective customer.
