Heuberger in Füssen opens new paint center
Sustainable paint store: a symbiosis of cutting-edge technology and green technology
The new Heuberger GmbH paint store in Füssen is the perfect symbiosis of cutting-edge technology and green technology. The company has not only been equipped technically, but also completely sustainably, so that the company is almost energy self-sufficient, meaning it no longer has to buy in almost any energy.
CHP and photovoltaics
The basis for the perfect energy footprint is a combined heat and power unit (CHP) for the environmentally friendly generation of electrical energy and heat, two gas condensing peak-load boilers for generating heat and a photovoltaic system.
The CHP alone, in combination with the photovoltaic system, covers the building’s entire annual heating requirements and simultaneously generates the energy for the paint booth, drying and other energy consumers.
Intermediate storage ensures that the energy generated at Heuberger can always be called up when it is actually needed.
This means that no self-generated energy goes to waste or can even be fed back into the general power grid if there is a large surplus.
More green technology is hardly possible in paint stores.
High-end painting systems
The paint booth supplied by German paint system manufacturer SEHON is the energy-saving world champion in the industry.
SEHON systems are not only technically the non-plus-ultra in the industry, but also consume over 80% less energy than other paint booths without energy-saving technology.
This is due to various unique energy-saving modules within the units, a highly intelligent energy demand control system, a perfect filter system and year-round heat recovery.
Not only the paint booth, but also the dryer and the vehicle preparation stations are equipped with a heat recovery system.
A very sustainable system that ensures that the heat required for heating during painting and drying does not simply escape from the chimney, but can be reused several times.
In addition to the traditional paint booth and dryer, Heuberger also has a modern SEHON multifunctional paint booth.
The special feature of the multi-cabin is that small and medium-sized accident damage can be repaired here with a minimum of energy.
Drying is not carried out here using circulating air, but instead with infrared or UV, so that the otherwise energy-intensive circulating air heating required for drying can be dispensed with.
Also perfect for repairing minor damage with spot repair.
The exhaust air from the new paint shop at Heuberger is 99.9% particle-free.
Emissions are only around 10 % of the permitted standard value.
The new paint shop also achieves an absolute top value in terms of air purity.
This is excellent for nature and the environment.
Reiner Heuberger: “Our new paint store is the perfect symbiosis of cutting-edge technology and green technology. More quality and sustainability is not possible.”
