XPENG G6 impresses in ADAC test

High-speed charging, strong range, smart equipment

Technology enthusiasts looking for a fully equipped electric SUV with high efficiency and charging performance should keep an eye on the XPENG G6. In the ADAC test, the G6 impressed with its modern 800-volt technology, practical range, comprehensive equipment and top ratings for environment and drive.

Performance: Efficient e-drive with strong dynamics

The XPENG G6 impresses in the ADAC test and relies on rear-wheel drive and an 87.5 kWh battery. This results in a range of around 500 kilometers. According to the ADAC, the combined consumption is 19.9 kWh/100 km.

The drive delivers:

  • 210 kW (286 hp) Engine output
  • 440 Nm torque
  • 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds
  • Electronically regulated at 200 km/h

The response is direct, especially in sport mode. There are no vibrations – typical of a modern electric vehicle.

800-volt system: top-level charging performance

One highlight of the G6 is its charging speed. XPENG relies on an 800-volt architecture, which enables significantly shorter charging times.

In the ADAC test, the G6:

  • Charging peak: 273 kW
  • Average from 10 to 80 %: 198.5 kW
  • Charging time for 366 km range: 20 minutes

These values place the model in the upper performance segment of current e-vehicles. Frequent drivers in particular benefit from this.

Standard equipment: Fully equipped without surcharge

XPENG integrates numerous comfort and safety features ex works – without the surcharge lists that are common with European manufacturers.

The standard equipment includes:

  • Keyless entry
  • Panoramic roof
  • Electrically adjustable seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Collision warning system
  • Brake assist
  • Lane departure warning
  • Traffic sign recognition
  • Door opening alarm

XPENG also sets standards when it comes to warranties: seven years on the vehicle, eight years on the battery.

Interior and workmanship: plenty of space despite the coupé line

The quality of workmanship in the G6 was impressive in the test. Despite the coupé silhouette, the interior in particular offers generous space – even in the rear. This increases the everyday utility and underlines the comfort claim.

Test result: Top score in the Ecotest and strong overall score

In the ADAC Ecotest, the G6 achieved:

  • Five out of five stars
  • Environmental assessment: Grade 1.5
  • Engine/drive: Grade 1.0
  • Overall grade: 2.0

With a base price of 47,600 euros, the XPENG G6 delivers a comprehensively equipped E-SUV with a long range and state-of-the-art charging technology.

Model overview: More than just a G6

XPENG offers three models in Germany that are characterized by performance, design and technology:

  • P7 – Sporty sedan

All models share:

The extensive ex-factory equipment, the high quality of workmanship and the outstanding test results in the ADAC Ecotest make the model a strong alternative in the electric SUV segment – technically mature, suitable for everyday use and clearly designed for efficiency.
